NeuroDesafio LATAM - Questions for a New World

NeuroDesafio LATAM — Questions for a New World

Throughout this series, we have explored attention, memory, time, technology, belonging, Utupe, Pei Utupe, Xapiri, Jiwasa, Yãy hã mĩy, the Body-Territory, and Decolonial Neuroscience.

Each theme revealed a different dimension of human experience.

Each concept opened a new window.

Each window revealed new spaces for investigation.

Perhaps the greatest discovery of this journey is simple:

The future emerges from the questions we are capable of asking.

Before every scientific discovery, there was a question.

Before every technology, there was a question.

Before every theory, there was a question.

Before every cultural transformation, there was a question.

A question is the first movement of a Body-Territory toward a new space of existence.

For this reason, NeuroDesafio LATAM is born as a territory of questions.

A space where adolescents, teachers, researchers, and communities can build together the next generation of questions for the Neurosciences.

Questions capable of expanding critical awareness.

Questions capable of expanding belonging.

Questions capable of expanding possibilities of existence.

Questions capable of opening new clearings within the great Atlantic Forest of human experience.

Questions for a New World

How does DNA Intelligence organize trillions of cells through the continuous distribution of energy, information, and protection throughout life?

What can we learn from this organization to build societies that are more creative, cooperative, and healthy?

Why do modern States organize money creation primarily through debt when life itself demonstrates that energy, protection, and conditions for existence precede productivity?

How do different forms of money creation reorganize belonging, mental health, creativity, cooperation, and human development?

How can we scientifically investigate the relationship between existential security, learning, and natural productivity?

How can we build economic systems inspired by the dynamics of life, where energy, protection, and belonging foster the flourishing of Body-Territories?

How can we create States capable of nurturing the Body-Territories that compose them in the same way that life nurtures its own cells?

How might retail CBDCs, DREX, and new forms of monetary organization expand belonging, autonomy, and civic participation?

How do different forms of belonging reorganize brain activity, physiology, creativity, and human cooperation?

How do the internal spaces that support learning, critical thinking, creativity, and consciousness emerge?

How does DNA Intelligence generate adaptive solutions long before language, writing, and modern institutions appear?

How do different forms of education expand the internal spaces available to a Body-Territory?

How can we scientifically investigate the formation of Utupe, Pei Utupe, and Xapiri throughout life?

How does Yãy hã mĩy participate in the formation of skills, cultures, beliefs, and high-performance processes?

How can we scientifically measure the difference between consumed time and lived life?

How can we investigate states of Fruition and Metacognition using EEG, fNIRS, HRV, GSR, EMG, Eye Tracking, and Hyperscanning?

How can we distinguish Jiwasas that expand learning, belonging, and well-being from those that organize attention around consumption, monetization, polarization, or behavioral capture?

How can we investigate the emergence of genuine belonging in human groups?

How can we observe the construction of shared worlds through multimodal Hyperscanning involving dozens of participants simultaneously?

How does language create internal spaces?

How does mathematics create internal spaces?

How does art create internal spaces?

How does music create internal spaces?

How does science create internal spaces?

How do different internal spaces generate different ways of perceiving the same world?

How can technology expand spaces of existence?

How can Artificial Intelligence expand humanity’s capacity to formulate questions?

How can we develop technologies oriented toward creativity, belonging, learning, and well-being?

How can knowledge become an expansion of lived life?

How can schools cultivate critical thinking, science, art, language, mathematics, movement, and belonging?

How can the diverse cultures of Latin America contribute to new ways of understanding consciousness, cooperation, and human development?

How can a diverse Latin America contribute to the next great questions of the Neurosciences?

The Invitation

Perhaps the next great discovery in Neuroscience is already present in a school somewhere in Latin America.

Perhaps it is emerging in a conversation.

In a classroom.

In a laboratory.

In an Indigenous community.

In an urban neighborhood.

In a university.

In a simple observation made by a curious teenager.

NeuroDesafio LATAM was created to welcome that curiosity.

To transform questions into investigation.

Investigation into knowledge.

Knowledge into cooperation.

And cooperation into future.

Decolonial Neuroscience proposes that every Body-Territory possesses the capacity to create new spaces of existence.

NeuroDesafio LATAM proposes that these spaces can be shared across Latin America.

Perhaps the next chapter of Neuroscience begins exactly this way:

With a question.

A meaningful question.

A question capable of opening a new clearing.

A question capable of expanding lived life.

A question capable of revealing pathways that are waiting to be perceived.

Because every discovery begins when someone perceives a possibility that had not yet been seen.

And perhaps, at this very moment, that possibility is flourishing in the mind of a Latin American teenager.
